With God...

(During the Paris attack, one of the terrorists pointed his gun at a victim's head and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened, because the gun jammed. The terrorist turned around and calmly walked away. The woman escaped unhurt. This is sometimes how God intervenes quietly in our lives.)

The above-mentioned reminded me of the story below!

JOEL : Please God, can I ask You a question?

GOD: Sure.

JOEL:  Please promise You won't get mad.

GOD: I promise

JOEL: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

GOD: What do you mean?

JOEL: Well, I woke up late..

GOD: Yes.

JOEL: My car took forever to start..

GOD: Okay.

JOEL: At lunch they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait for ages.

GOD: Okay.

JOEL: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call.

GOD:... Right

JOEL: To top it all off, when I got home, I just wanted to soak my feet in the new foot massager and relax. It didn't work!!! Nothing went right today! What happened?

GOD: Let's see, the death angel was standing by your bed this morning.  I sent one of My  Angels to do battle with him for your life. I let you sleep through it all!

JOEL (humbled): OH!!!

GOD: I didn't let your car start immediately because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have ploughed into your car, had you been on the road.

JOEL: (Looking red-faced and ashamed) Whimpers

GOD: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick. I didn't want you to catch what he had, because I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

JOEL: (looking embarrassed): Okay

GOD: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

JOEL (whispers softly): I see God.

GOD: Oh, that foot massager had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

JOEL: I'm Sorry God

GOD: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me in All things, the Good and the bad.

JOEL: I do trust You.

GOD: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is always better than any plan you could ever make.

JOEL: I won't Heavenly father. And I want to say to you God, Thank You for everything today!

GOD: You're welcome child. It's just another day being who I am. I Love looking after you, My child.

I like the story because it reflects a Creator that isn't wicked or vengeful like some religious fanatics would like us to believe in, but rather one that cares and looks out for us. A master of space and time whose mind we as humans can never comprehend.

I like to believe that good will always overcome evil.

I also believe that those who cause hurt, harm, maim and kill in His name are the biggest sinners on this good earth. Remember, those who sow the wind, will reap the whirlwind.

I dedicate this post to the victims of terrorism all over the planet.

Please stay safe!
